Dynamic peak power, inertia power and static load power are different operating ratings. SYNCHRO 500 is specified with a measurement range in kW; the other models use hp from the manufacturer’s catalogue. Full specifications are listed on each model page.

01

Start with the test method

Power runs or controlled load points? The test objective determines the concept.

02

Consider the vehicles

Drive configuration, dimensions and permitted axle loads must match.

03

Include the site

Adequate space, suitable supplies and cooling belong in the design.

Compare power ratings in context

A higher dynamic peak rating is not automatically better for every test. For example, the 5000 models are rated for a maximum speed of 350 km/h, while the 6000 PRO is specified at 250 km/h. Their rollers and power limits also differ. Your planned procedure should guide the comparison.

SYNCHRO 500 is listed with a measurement range in kW; the other platforms use hp from the manufacturer’s catalogue. Different units may also represent different operating modes. A simple conversion would not resolve those differences. Discuss with AVM which measurements and operating limits your vehicles require.
