Define the vehicles, power range and test methods.
Coordinate the room, connections, cooling and installation.
Match the dynamometer and equipment to your application.
A dynamometer becomes part of your working routine. Your vehicles, required load conditions and available space should guide the decision.
A peak figure tells only part of the story. The curve and the conditions of the measurement matter too. Plan vehicle preparation, cooling and documentation as one consistent process.
Inertia runs and controlled load measurements answer different questions. Braked DYNOmax models add load-testing capabilities. Choose according to your regular measurements and the applicable operating limits.
The platform needs space for vehicle access, overhang, cooling, exhaust extraction and safe operation. A room sketch and typical vehicle examples are useful starting points. Our planning guide explains what to prepare.
Your personal contact for a dynamometer project: AVM Car Performance GmbH in Ibbenbüren, Germany, discusses models, applications and the next planning steps with you.
We welcome business and private customer enquiries. AVM is your dealer; delivery is made directly by the manufacturer outside the EU. Tell us about your vehicles, intended tests and delivery country so that the project requirements can be clarified.
A starting point for your project. Specific vehicles and installation sites are discussed individually.
Start with the vehicles: motorcycles, one driven axle or all-wheel drive. Then consider the test method, power and speed range, and infrastructure. Our model comparison puts the main specifications side by side. Final suitability is assessed for your project.
Inertia measurement evaluates roller acceleration. A braked dynamometer can also apply load, supporting additional test procedures. The 1500i is an inertia model, while other ranges provide braked operation. See technology for more detail.
Dynamic peak power, inertia power and static power describe different operating modes. Compare the rating relevant to your test task. Speed, axle load, dimensions and vehicle compatibility must also fit. Each model page lists these figures separately.
The stated dimensions describe the platform. Additional room is needed for the vehicle, access, restraint, cooling, exhaust extraction and operation. A room sketch with dimensions and the access point is helpful for the initial discussion.
